We collect information that you provide directly to us when using the Wishlove application:

• Account Information: Your email address, display name (nickname), profile picture (avatar), and an encrypted password created upon direct email registration.
• Wishlist & Content Data: Wishlist item titles, descriptions, notes, categories, uploaded item photos, priority levels, and anniversary/special dates you enter.
• Couple Pairing Data: Unique pairing codes and mutual account link identifiers used to synchronize wishlist items and facilitate interactive features (e.g., Make a Surprise).
• Device Permissions:
  • Camera & Photo Library: Requested only when you choose to take or upload a profile picture or attach images to your wishlist items.
  • Internet Access: Required to communicate with our secure servers, synchronize wishlist updates, and deliver real-time notifications between paired devices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:

• To create, authenticate, and manage your user account securely.
• To synchronize and display wishlist data and real-time interaction events between paired partners.
• To maintain system stability, troubleshoot technical bugs, and provide customer support.
• No Commercial Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

All data transferred between the Wishlove mobile app and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS / TLS protocols. Your personal data and credentials are stored on secure cloud database infrastructure protected by strict access controls and multi-layered security measures.

4. Age Requirement & Children's Privacy

Wishlove is intended for users who are 12 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal identifiable information from children under the age of 12. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child under the age of 12 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at wishlove@smilesoftware.org. We will promptly take steps to delete such information and associated accounts from our servers.

5. User Rights & Account Deletion

You have full control over your personal data at all times:

• Edit or Delete Items: You can edit or permanently delete any wishlist items, pictures, or notes directly within the app.
• Unpair Accounts: You can disconnect from your paired partner at any time in the app settings.
• Permanent Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the in-app Settings menu, or by submitting a deletion request via email to our support team at wishlove@smilesoftware.org. Upon account deletion, all personal profiles, paired links, wishlist items, and uploaded images will be permanently erased from our active databases.
